Malax Loaf and baked pears

  • 4 dl Malax Loaf, ground into coarse crumbs
  • 2 pears
  • 1 dl brown sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • seeds from ½ a vanilla pod


Melt the sugar in a saucepan and add the butter and spices.
Quickly add the Malax Loaf crumbs, mix well and take off the heat.
Halve and core the pears.
Put the pear halves in a roasting tin, cut sides up.
Fill the pears with the Malax Loaf and sugar mixture and bake in the oven at 150 °C for approx. 15 min.
Serve warm with custard or ice cream.
